CASE STUDY - a Popup cafe, Willows Activity Farm
The brief was for 2 of our Big Hat Tipis to be pitched in a new area of the park, to be used for a pop-up Food and Beverage café station.
As Willows Activity Farm is predominantly an outdoor activity park, during the key Christmas trading times the indoor café cannot cope with the increased capacity of customers who would usually be able to sit outside when the café indoor seating was too busy.
Due to the cold and generally bad weather our client wanted a cosy, Christmassy indoor-retreat for customers to be able to get hot and cold feed and drinks, as well as having somewhere warm and dry to sit.
The 2 Tipi setup housed hot and cold food stations, refrigeration cabinets for drinks as well as a hot drink station. Picnic benches and tables were laid-out inside the Tipi, offering a warm and dry space for customers to sit down and relax for a while.
The Tipis were heated throughout and were in-keeping with the festive look as they were decorated with Christmas trees indoors and outside and twinkly lights throughout.
This popup food and beverage station generated increased revenue for Willows Activity Farm as it helped ease queues in the main café and offered different food and beverage options to their customers.
Our Tipis stayed up from mid-November until the end of December, ensuring Willows customers were kept warm, dry and well fed and watered throughout their amazing Christmas Grotto festive period.
